Fly and course fishing
The rivers, lakes, and reservoirs of the Brecon Beacons allow the fisherman a wealth of different pursuits. Some of the finest brown trout fishing is to be found right on our doorstep on the River Usk, and just a short trip to the River Wye will allow you to try for record breaking grayling and huge pike. With a handful of well stocked lakes and reservoirs to choose from, as well as the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal, there are also plenty of still water opportunities for pike, carp, dace and perch.
Here at The Manor, we are lucky to have top fly fishing coach and guide Kim Tribe, who is our resident fishing coach and guide with many years of experience and a unique insight into our local rivers. Under Kim’s passion, expert tutelage and with his unlimited local knowledge, you will have the best fishing experience – whether you’re a competent fly fisher or a total beginner. He’s fished all over the world but believes the Brecon Beacons offers everything for the keen fly fisherman.
